Kitchen with a peninsula: 2 projects from our workshop in Tunisia, rebuilt to your dimensions. What this layout asks of the room, and what it gives back.
An island is a free-standing block reachable from every side; a peninsula is an island attached on one side to the rest of the layout. The difference is not aesthetic, it is metric: an island needs a walkway on all four faces, a peninsula on three. In a room too narrow for an island, a peninsula does the same job — extra worktop, a bar, a division between kitchen and living room.
The custom form asks for measurements wall by wall, not one overall size: a return has neither the length, nor necessarily the height or depth, of the first wall — and the workshop cuts wall by wall.
